A Wolverhampton manufacturer has this month secured a major contract after responding to a customer’s unusual request.

GTP Engineering, based in Bushbury, have won a significant new order with their existing customers Rotork after responding to a last minute enquiry.

Rotork, the market leading actuator manufacturer and flow control company, approached GTP Engineering after being let down at the last minute by one of their other suppliers.

GTP, who have extensive engineering experience and technical knowledge, were called upon to help with machining & welding of two large valves. The normal lead time for an order of this size and complexity would normally be 4-5 weeks, but GTP turned the order around in just 3 days.

Tim Ellison, procurement manager at Rotork, thanked GTP for going above and beyond to turn the order around: “Please pass on my thanks and appreciation to your team for the superb effort. To accelerate the machining and assembly period to such a degree represents a huge level of effort from your Management and Production teams.”

GTP ENGINEERING specialises in the manufacturing and distribution of a comprehensive range of fasteners, turned parts and profiles. The components supplied can be manufactured to any of the International Standards or to Customer’s own drawings.
